Potatoes in Practice is the largest field-based potato event in the UK which this year takes place on 8th August at the James Hutton Institute’s Balruddery Farm in Invergowrie, near Dundee.
Organised and hosted by The James Hutton Institute in partnership with SRUC, Agrii, Potato Review and Potato World magazine; this year’s event is focussed around using evidence to build resilience.
Latest developments in the potato industry will be showcased along with demonstrations of the latest innovations and emerging trends and of course, static machinery. From commercial breeders introducing new varieties, to agronomists demonstrating advancements in crop protection and researchers on hand to discuss their most recent findings; visitors will have access to a wealth of scientific knowledge and expertise.
Potatoes in Practice is an annual initiative aimed at fostering learning and agricultural innovation. The mission is to facilitate the adoption of practices that enhance sustainability and resilience in farming.
