Haith Travels To Fruit Logistica Aiming To Increase Its Global Agent Network

The UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of vegetable handling solutions is aiming to develop its international presence by meeting potential agents at next month’s Fruit Logistica.

Haith Group is heading to Berlin in February and is calling for agents interested in working with them to visit its stand: A-06 in Hall 4.1.

Established in 1944, Haith is the UK’s largest manufacturer of grading, washing, bulk handling, weighing, pre-packing lines and water treatment systems and has an existing network of agents representing the company around the world.

Duane Hill, Sales Director at Haith Group, is keen to grow the company’s representation globally, especially in Canada, Soth America, Spain and Italy.

“We have an excellent network of dealers and agents working with us, and 2019 looks like it is going to be our best ever year in terms of our export sales, but we’re not resting on our laurels,” says Mr Hill. “We want to continue to grow, and we’ve noticed an upsurge in enquiries from people in South America, so we’re keen to capitalise on this interest. We’re hoping to make some new connections at Fruit Logistica, which is obviously a massive event and one of the highlights of the year for us.”

As well as talking to potential partners, Haith will be talking about its range of award-winning handling solutions, including its latest machine the Rota-tip S Box Tippler.

The new box tippler caters for farmers, growers and small to medium packers looking for a high quality, lower cost streamlined machine.

Unlike Haith’s market-leading Rota-tip SE and TE box tipping system, which has a patented design and can handle up to 30 boxes per hour and weights of up to four tonnes, the new Rota-tip S handles 15 boxes per hour.

With a lower price point than the Rota-tip SE and TE, the Rota-tip S is designed to replace hydraulic tipplers.

Even though the new machine is priced 20% less than the Haith Rota-tip SE, the Rota-tip S is still packed with innovative features. Its all-electric drive makes it efficient and safe to use, and by removing the hydraulics, Haith’s design team have ensured it handles produce safely and without risk of contamination.

The Rota-tip S rotates around a centre pivot, which means the weight of the box is never lifted, and the machine is not put under any pressure, thereby eliminating fatigue or damage to the machine and the box. Haith has also incorporated a continental web on the machine, which forms a lid on the box as it rotated, to ensure the crop isn’t scuffed when it is transferred.

Visitors to Fruit Logistica in Berlin between 6th and 8th February, will be the first in mainland Europe to be able to place pre-orders for the new machine, which is available in mild steel and stainless-steel versions, both of which come with a programmable HMI control screen.

Now in its 26th year, Fruit Logistica attracts more than 3,200 exhibitors and 78,000 trade visitors from around the world. The event covers every single sector of the fresh produce industry, including fresh fruit and vegetables and provides a complete picture of the latest innovations, products and services at every link in the international supply chain. It thus offers superb networking and contact opportunities to the key decision-makers in every sector of the industry.
