Haith have been manufacturing bespoke mobile vegetable grading systems since the 1960’s as farmers demanded more innovative solutions to handle their valuable crops.

Over the decades Haith’s mobile systems have evolved into some of the most robust and advanced machines on the market which are able to handle crops at high capacities in a gentle and efficient manner.

Our Mobile Graders are configured to suit individual requirements which can depend on a number of factors including crop type, soil type and required capacity.

Haith’s heavy duty SupaFlow Bulker automatically controls the flow of crop and feeds onto a short conveyor to present the crop evenly onto the chosen cleaning system. A variety of cleaning systems are available including the Evolution Separator, Web Separator, Star Soil Separator and Coil Soil Separator.

Other options which could be added to the Mobile Grading System include manual inspection or optical sorting, integral screens graders and box fillers.

The robust build, innovative design and quality components guarantee peace of mind that the line will continue operating when you need it the most.

Our story began when Geoff Haith, at just 18 years old, started carrying out repairs for local farmers. Through this work, he recognised a need for more efficient, mechanised solutions for washing and grading root vegetables. Combining his engineering expertise with a strong farming background, Geoff went on to design and manufacture innovative machinery for handling carrots, potatoes, and beetroot.

Until recently, the business was led by Geoff’s five sons and daughter, supported by a talented and forward-thinking management team dedicated to ensuring the company’s continued success. Today, Haith employs over 120 people at our UK factory and works with a network of agents worldwide, promoting the Haith brand globally and delivering high-quality installations and satisfied customers across the world.

Over the years, Haith has continued to grow in both size and capability, relocating three times to accommodate expanding operations. This growth has culminated in our current ultra-modern, wholly owned facility in South Yorkshire, featuring approximately 6,000 m² of production space on a six-acre site. The factory is equipped with the latest CNC laser, waterjet, and bending technology, enabling us to maintain the highest standards of precision and quality.

Haith has received numerous awards for machine design and innovation. We are especially proud to have been honoured twice with the UK’s highest business accolade, The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, both in the Innovation category. As the only company in our field to hold this prestigious award, our commitment to continuous innovation and development—helping to keep the UK vegetable industry at the forefront of technology—has been clearly recognised.
