Job Summary

We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using Inventor 2D and 3D. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail.

Being a member of the Haith drawing office team, you will help us to build upon our strong foundations to maintain and progress our enviable position in the worldwide market.

Although the position will be predominantly based in our office in Armthorpe, you may be required to visit customer sites.

The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to manage a wide variety of engineering/manufacturing processes, be self-motivated and results oriented and possess the drive and determination to succeed in a competitive environment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Produce documentation and drawings for production department.
  • Provide technical support to the production and parts departments.
  • Support for R&D and existing products.
  • Work within the requirements of company procedures and national and international regulations.
  • Provide detailed, accurate and clear drawings and other documentation to enable the manufacture of the company’s components.
  • Knowledge of drawing systems.
  • Drawing layout and symbols.
  • Manufacturing methods, including machining, forming, welding.
  • Calculations for weight/displacement and other supporting needs.

Accountabilities:

  • To provide drawings on all projects as required, within the timescales set by the company.
  • Ensure all designs are suitable for manufacture, assembly and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Drawing Office control procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • HNC, ONC or latest equivalent Mechanical or related/equivalent subject (lesser qualifications coupled with suitable design experience would be considered).
  • Sound engineering knowledge.
  • Good record keeping.
  • Willingness to learn new engineering skills in a professional environment
  • Flexibility, adaptability and professionalism, with the ability to work co-operatively as part of a multidiscipline team, or on individual projects.
  • Software skills: Proficient in designing with AutoCAD and Inventor, conversant with Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 Friday 08:00-16:30
