Electrician
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Electrician with 3-phase, 400V, and industrial troubleshooting experience to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring & equipment, using hand, power tools.
Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE. Must be prepared to work on customer sites throughout the U.K. This may involve staying away for several days. International travel may be required on occasion.
Essential Functions
- Ability to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring & equipment.
- Perform safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions.
- Demonstrate safe and proficient use of workshop tools (both hand and power).
- Demonstrate some basic mechanical knowledge
- Competent with programming of VSDs.
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLCs
- Proficient in testing electrical systems using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
- Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team or alone.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Apprentice trained to minimum NVQ level 3 or approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance and two (2) years electrical experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- 18th Edition preferred.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with how to implement safe working practices. Health & Safety qualifications preferred.
