The Haith Root Veg Peeler consists of a rotary drum with 15 rollers at 3m long, the patented roller design has a changeable carborundum section and two grades of bristle, the configuration of bristle and carborundum can be varied to suit different produce.
By breaking the tough outer surface of the vegetable on the carborundum, then removing the skin with the brush section, it peels and polishes the vegetable producing a smooth finish, this is unlike product that is peeled in conventional carborundum machines which leaves a very rough surface allowing bacteria to get in and causing break down of the vegetable.
In extensive testing we proved that by peeling on the new roller design, shelf life was improved, less rework was required and there was up to 20% reduction in yield loss, also with an output of 4tph it makes the Haith Root Veg Peeler well worth considering.
